Report: Half Off Stones, Jones Memorials, Marcus Jones

Half Off Stones, Jones Memorials, Marcus Jones 1/2 price of headstone sounds good, catch: you won't get one Nashville Tennessee
...
In the middle of December I decided to purchase a long overdue headstone for my husbands deceased brother who died as an infant in 1959.
Half off Stones appeared to be a legitamite business in the beginning. After finalizing all the design details and final payment was made I received an email stating I would be notified when the headstone was to be shipped.
Two months later my husband and I purchased a new home (same town) so I contacted the company via email to give them our new email and physical address. Received an email confirmation of receipt of email address change and it continued to say that within 1 to 2 days the new web site would be up and running and we could check the status of our order.
I checked the website it was still under construction. I called the telephone number trying to check the status and it always transfered me to a voice mail box that was always full. After several weeks of this I was getting very frustrated. I made one final attempt to call the company before I was going to call the BBB. That last call made me feel like I had been ripped off. The telephone number is no longer in service.
I searched online for a new number using the address I mailed my payment to. It brought up a company called Jones Memorials (same owner) I called that number and got the "Your call is being transferred to the automatic voicemail, voice mail is full" . I knew I had been ripped off.

The Truth from Marcus Jones and a Picture of her completed stone.
This report is from Stephanie Branch in Georgia who ordered a 24 x 12 x 4 grey granite flat marker from the halfoffstones division through Henry Wayne Monk before he was fired for her brother Howard E. Branch. Once again due to inaccurate facts she has chosen to slander my name not based on facts but based on the negative slanderous reports of others and her emotioins. Her order has been completed for many months and is still sitting there at the old area and was not shipped because of lack of funding and due to getting hit with all the negativity and after the website went down due to Henry Wayne Monk committing identity theft by convincing my hosting company that he was me in order to gain access to the web files in order to delete my website. Of course I have documented proof of this and will post it later on.
So there I was in the middle of the worst recession ever with winter weather, equipment failures, website files corrupted which in turn limited income to keep things moving and negative media press inspite of all the visible work at my area. It became quite overwhelming to say the least. When companies, families or other entities go out of business due to lack of funding other areas suffer as well such as the ability to keep critical services on. Thanks to all of the false press stories and the knee jerk reactions from clients based on bad info about my business finances became challenged just like any other companies would. So because you call a number and get a voice mail does not mean that you have been scammed no more than a bill collector calling your home means that they have been scammed.
Once again, the temporary injunction that was filed against me prohibited me from even contacting clients so thanks to all of the interference from other agencies these orders have remained dormant and crippled my efforts to rectify them. Had I been out ot scam you I don't think I would have spent the time to get the material here 6 hours away from Nashville, get the proper stencil pattern to engrave it and then actually engrave it. You are correct it has not been shipped but it is not because I want it laying around on the stock yard but there were and have been other factors beyond my control that has prevented work in order to recapitalize and continue with these orders.
I might imagine that you were contacted by others and probably told some untruthful things about me to give them an advantage to do what has been done to my business but the facts remain. Your order was done and is still there and can be shipped if you notify the AG's office that you still want it. She says she was scammed and the truth is her order was done, is done and not shipped. Some of these people wanted so badly to believe these lies.
Sincerely,
Marcus D. Jones
