In case you have never heard of him, in the event that you are a person of color living in Nashville, TN you will more than likely at some point in your life get to know him or at least be going to a place with his name on it. You can go on any given day and see herds of people going into this building that is named after him in downtown nashville. Of course most of the people entering this building to go to any of the various courtrooms or other divisions will be black and will be there facing many times false criminal and other charges and of course most of the judges they will go before are white and of course most of the attorneys that will misrepresent them will be white and of course mostly all employees you see will be people of non-ethnic background working in the other legal positions awarded them through connections. Chief Justice Birch was and is a prominent black person in TN but I sure hope he is not pleased with the activity's that go on in the building that bears his name. There is more crime that goes on everyday in this newly adorned building than in the toughest crime areas in any major city. What an irony, the state decided to name the building after him a black Chief Justice and then pay for it on the backs of people who look like him. That's kind of like changing a street name to Rosa Parks Boulevard and then have no ethnic or few ethnic buidlings, businesses on it with wages that are substantial enough for them to stop riding a bus and to get their own transportation. You may have a black President but people of common sense and concern better start fighting to have fair and honest leaders in your local government and then expose and remove the ones who are CORRUPT.
To date I have had no preliminary hearing although I was indicted, arrested and now await other proceedings. My case has been put off at least 4 times, my attorney has no discovery information about my charges and I have not spoken to anyone, my attorney, the D.A. no one more than 5 minutes about this case. As you listen to Chief Justice A. A. Birch a veteran of 41 years explain the different steps about preliminary hearings and so forth you have to ask yourself is this for some or for all. This is what is suppossed to happen but it does not go on. Your rights are denied at whim by people who are sworn to protect it. Again, to date I have had no hearing on anything of any kind. The District Attorney did what is called a direct presentment which means he probably went before the grand jury if he even actually really did do that said "Hey listen up we have a guy who is stealing peoples money on tombstones, I need an indictment in order to file charges and have him arrested and of course without me ever having a preliminary hearing or without the grand jury ever hearing a word from me or seeing any evidence gave him consent to indict me on charges of theft of property when they know it is breach of contract.

You can click the link below to see how much diversity is actually occurring when hiring new police officers in Nashville, TN. On one occassion while going into the A.A. Birch building for a court date, me and the people who were with me encountered I think the new police recruits in drill formation in front of the CDC downtown which is across from the A.A. Birch building and not one of them were of any ethnic group other than white. This may not appear to be a problem to some but to good heart fairminded people of any color this will and is a problem. Out of all the University's we have within a 200 mile radius to say the least, there is still not much effort to really diversify the legal bases of our community. Most of these guys are of course young and being groomed by older officers, so there you have it the perpetuation of guilt by color goes on and on. By the way the Metro Investigations Unit did actually come out to my old work area and found no occurences of anything except hard work and evidence or faulty equipment etc. I think I still have the investigators card somewhere.
